We’re pleased to announce the release of MyShiftPlanner TEAM v4.1, bringing another collection of improvements designed to make scheduling and workforce management even easier.
This update focuses on reducing admin, improving time-sheet workflows and giving organisations more flexibility when managing overtime and leave.
Faster Time sheet Management
One of the biggest improvements in this release is a much smoother time sheet experience.
Managers can now add unplanned overtime simply by clicking directly into empty cells within the timesheet report, making last-minute changes significantly quicker.
We’ve also introduced a new summary time sheet report, providing a clearer overview of worked hours while improving loading performance for larger organisations.
To make navigation easier, timesheet reports have also been renamed with clearer titles.
Better Overtime Support
Many organisations have different approaches to overtime.
Version 4.1 introduces optional support for expected overtime rates, allowing workers to specify expected overtime values where required. This functionality is disabled by default, giving each organisation complete control over whether it is used.
We’ve also added support for TOIL (Time Off In Lieu) throughout the shift editor and summary reports, helping businesses track earned time more accurately.
More Flexible Leave Management
Managing leave is now more comprehensive with two additional shift types:
- Other Paid Leave
- Other Unpaid Leave
Leave entries now also include a dedicated “Leave Taken” field, making it much clearer exactly how many hours or days should be deducted from an employee’s allowance.
Scheduler Improvements
We’ve continued refining the scheduling experience with several workflow improvements.
You can now right-click cover requirements directly within the Scheduler for quicker setup, while deleting and reassigning shifts in the By Shift view has been made faster and more intuitive.
A Better Everyday Experience
Alongside the headline features, we’ve made numerous quality-of-life improvements across the platform, including:
- Improved Forgot Password experience
- Better highlighting of users within the People list
- Improved shift pattern setup
- Mobile experience fixes
- Nudge notifications now work correctly in all situations
Continuing to Improve
Every release of MyShiftPlanner TEAM is shaped by feedback from the organisations who use it every day.
Version 4.1 continues our focus on reducing administration, improving visibility and making workforce scheduling quicker and more reliable.
As always, thank you for your feedback and support, we’re already hard at work on the next release.
