We’re excited to announce the release of MyShiftManager version 3.2 – an update designed to make scheduling easier, leave management clearer, and team insights smarter.

As always, many of the improvements in this release come directly from client feedback. A big thank you to everyone who has shared their ideas and requests – your input helps us make MyShiftManager the best fit for real-world teams.

What’s New in v3.2

Smarter Team Insights

  • Team Work Stats Widget – A brand-new dashboard widget showing your team’s average and total worked hours at a glance.

Configurable Team Stats

  • Configurable Personal Hours in Scheduler – You can now choose what hours display under each person’s name in the Scheduler tab. Clicking expands to reveal detailed personal work stats.

  • Year View Upgrade – The Year view now includes work stats for each user, with pop-out details when clicked – making it easier to track workload across the year.

Better Leave Management

  • Annual Leave Allowances at a Glance – Each worker’s allowance now shows in their Inbox dashboard, giving teams clearer visibility.
  • Smarter Leave Approvals – When managers review leave requests, they now see the worker’s remaining allowance, helping them make quicker and fairer decisions.

Fixes & Improvements

We’ve also made a series of important fixes to improve accuracy, reliability, and usability. Highlights include:

  • Open Shifts – Published open shifts now always display correctly, update publish counts accurately, and can be included/excluded from “Unpublished” totals. The “Today” filter now also shows shifts that finish after midnight.
  • Shift Swaps – The Pending Swaps widget now covers all swaps within a two-week window.
  • Leave Tracking
    • Last day of leave now always shows correctly.
    • Annual leave rules fixed (no negative or >24 hour entries).
    • Sick shift affected-hours now handled correctly when using Days.
    • Dashboard leave counter now matches Pending Requests widget.
  • Cover Requirements – Fixes to role-based fulfilment and smoother editing of requirements.
  • User Experience Enhancements
    • Emojis now display in full colour.
    • Download buttons fixed across widgets and app screens.
    • Name dialogs auto-focus for quicker input.
    • Year view remembers your last drill-down preference.
    • Empty “Manage…” lists now include guidance and visuals.
    • Navigation past 31st March in Month view fixed.
